Scarlet Case.

What case with Scarlet X come in? A small black one like the Epic X? Will there be custom one for the body and redmote/side handle etc?

I read somewhere on a thread that there will be a "custom" case for the scarlet just like the epic. Theres no way I am going with that though... Buy a nice pelican with pick and pull foam and have a way nicer set up the way YOU like it for a third the price

They did say the scarlet will fit in the current Epic case, and they will have an option to order it with the Scarlet branding.

Honestly the branding is the only thing keeping me from ordering the custom case. I love Red and really like the way they brand their gear but I don't want a label on my case - it should be discreet.

If anyone knows of any companies that will custom cut foam to the quality of the Epic case, I'd love to hear it - for now I'm planning on a custom case from Thermodyne: http://www.thermodyne.com/ I have used their cases for all my RED One gear and they really take a beating on the outside - the glue they use to hold the band saw cut foam on the inside doesn't hold up to a lot of changes in climate - not a deal breaker as I've had the case for over 3 years and am just now wanting to re-foam it (for cheap I might add).

The Epic just seems so nice I want to put it in high-density laser cut foam.

Don't go pick and pull - that crap lasts about a day and half if you're lucky. Custom is worth the extra cash.
