Does anybody know if RED is working on making a Case similar to the Epic case? I like the Epic case and would love to buy it but I think it would leave for too much space around the Scarlet in the case.

oh I was under the understanding that the Scarlet was slightly smaller. I'm very happy to know that will fit!

I remember jarred posting somewhere recently that there will be a scarlet branded case also

Louis, I don't know if you saw the other post regarding the laser cut foam Red case or not. I have the Pelcian 1610 pick-n-pluck foam case. Its a little bigger that the RED case and at $199 A LOT cheaper. I had a few people ask me about it so I threw together a little vid about it. Just if your interested. You can never have too many options.

Link to specific measurements etc. on B&H website:

As soon as I get my red in. Pelican is going to do a custom laser cut to the inside foam. All I need to do is bring my gear to an authorized pelican dealer. The steps involved are measuring each piece, laying it all out on a grid and picking the case. Pelican authorized dealer will do all of this for you.

The laser cut is about 220.oo bucks then you pick your case you want so for under 500.00 you have a custom pelican case for what ever gear you need to drag along to your job.

Oh that sounds awesome. Now I just need to find the nearest pelican dealer around me. Does BH count?

I have the Epic-X case up for sale. Asking ~$400. PM me if interested. It's currently in Sydney.

I would love to grab the Epic case RED offers, but the problem is it's slightly to big to carry-on with most, or possibly even all, European airlines. Just a couple inches too much. Maybe it's possible to sneak that by, but I would rather not risk it.

No problem on any Australian domestic or international flights - it seems to meet the maximum size allowance.

I thought that case came for free with every Epic?

Edit: Every Epic that didn't come with the Epic pelican case I meant (IE every Epic X)

the epic-m package comes with a laser cut pelican 1510 - it is like $150 online with pick n pluck foam and pelican states that it is "FAA maximum carry on size"
