Scarlet Camera Name List

I have to admit, I have never been inclined to name any equipment that I own. Seems like any name I could come up with always felt contrived. I thought it would be fun to name my Scarlet but nothing came to me. However, when I found out my serial number was 1474, I began to wonder what might have happened in history in that year and it has led to my naming my Scarlet, Isabella. In 1474, Isabella declared herself the queen of Castile. Let's hope my little camera lives up to her name.

yes the naming thing is kind of silly… but I've found it useful for pairing the REDMote to the right camera in a multi camera shoot.

SCARLET #00377 Canon AL Mount Arrived in Seattle

We're calling it "LEO" as in Leonardo Da Vinci

00377 upside down and backward is LLE00 and 377 is a Fibonacci number which Da Vinci often used. If we get another camera(s) I'm thinking Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. ;-)

Well, it took me a while but I got home from work, started making dinner and suddenly the name came to me.

Scarlet-X 1077 "Dova'Kiin"

Those of you who might have played the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim may recognize it- that's the word in the dragon language for "Dragon Born".
Given the next sensor I'll be getting in there, it seems appropriate.

SO-0056290 - which I should be taking stock of next week. I'm naming it after my favourite Scarlet.

'Leeloo Dallas Multipass'

Maybe just 'Leeloo' for short.

Nice- it's almost like a racing dog's name and has a cool reference. You guys are having way more fun over here naming your Scarlets than the Epic folks.

Sorry, forgot to reply -- my Scarlet #1052 John Henry showed up in late January. Been having fun ever since.

Us Scarlet folk are way for fun at naming brains than the EPIC folk. :-)

Can you verify your camera serial number? Scarlet #1052 appears to be owned by Henry Ceiro based on information currently on the list.

Was waiting for her to arrive before sharing the name:

#1798: Ariadne

Yeah, I'm aware of the irony of naming a Red Camera with a starting phoneme of "Arri". But with a company name like Icarus Rex Productions, I figured I'd go with the female name related closest to Icarus.
