As someone who uses the REDmote in another room away from the camera, it would be very handy to be able to format from the REDmote. The only way to format a mag using the REDmote is to have the REDmote in remote mode and drive the camera through its menu system.
Great!
We've had a few isolated reports of this. The only known workaround so far is setting the LCD frequency to 30 Hz. The underlying cause is still under investigation.
The dimming of the LCD when going into magnify is something we're looking into as well. I've repeated it here, but don't have any more info on it yet.
Hi Phil, enjoy all of your work on the reference guides, thank you for that, but this post with the "monkey" and the "noose" seems racist.....just wanted to ask you if this was the intended message

Some people will find anything to get offended about.
I can assure Phil is not a racist.
Now move on.
Tidy-! But I can't seem to find a thread on pre- roll and frame rates. Is there a limit on resolution - speed - and pre roll. Shooting wildlife and wanting high FPS and pre-roll. Have I missed a post. Cheers Luke BBC.
Mostly, but honestly the most important and useful update in 4.0 for me is the 1:1 Movable Pixel Zoom. This is a feature I can say I'll use nearly everyday. The fact that I can now lock critical focus anywhere within the frame is massive. I've pined for it shooting feature VFX elements, commercials, and even in certain narrative situations.
Who are you to say what should and shouldn't offend another person.....also I didn't accuse I asked, and thanks for you assurance Matt , but the question was directed at Phil.
