  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Saturday Red Usergroup Meeting At Ibc !

Hi folks, unfortunately I won't be able to attend the meal, looks like i'll be heading out on Holiday early Sunday and I don't fancy that after a night on the beers and an early morning flight.

HOWEVER, I am going over on the Friday morning on a 6.25am flight, spending the day at IBC and flying back at 10.00pm. So if there is anyone there on the first day of exhibitions I'd love to meet up and say hello.

I'll be doing a report from the centre, I've got the laptop rigged upto mobile networks so even if I can't get onto any wireless it won't be a problem. Depending on when I get into the Red exhibit and how much space there is to move I'll try and put it up as early as humanly possible. I've got a new website coming and will be posting an early report with pics on there and will let people here know when it's up.

Sorry again that I can't make the meal, would've been great to meet you all.

I will be eagerly looking at anything posted out from IBC from the moment it opens, untill I leave for IBC saturday morning!
 
I remembe how slow the info coming out of NAB was so if there is anything interesting to report I'll try and get it up within the first couple of hours.

Oh there is ALWAYS something interesting....

Like pictures from the booth, who´s there from RED, has Sony been thrown out yet...
 
I will be taking a few pictures on my camera phone and post directly to my website using that so there'll be photo's fairly instantly.

I'll probably take along a DSLR too and upload some better shots when I get the chance.

I'll try my best to be thorough!
 
Even if there isn´t anything interesting, that would be interesting too, for us sitting back home wondering...

I am in Amsterdam from Thursday to Sunday, so hopefully we can meet up.

Yeah that'd be great Stephen, Friedrich came up with the idea of meeting at a nearby cafe before the exhibit opens at 12. I'll do a search for suitable locations at some point and make a thread, anyone that fancies meeting up on the Friday and wondering round the Red Booth or just saying hi could hopefully come along.

Probably best to get to the Red booth by 12.01!

I wonder if my RED VIP badge from last year allow any queue barging!

Lol - i was asking myself the same!
Low reservation nr. might also be helpful.
12:00 might even be better for the ones who don´t have an exhibitor pass.



However, i don´t think that the queue will be as massive as at NAB - if i understood correctly red won´t show the PJ movie in the both on a 4k cinema, as they did at NAB.

Hi,

As the doors don't open till 12.00, you will have trouble getting to the Red Booth then! It's not near any entrances!

there is a hidden delivery entrance to hall 7 (facing towards 7 from hall 5) and another one at the small bistro - but with "exhibition only" pass one won´t get there.

entrance to hall 7 in one minute for 12:01 would be olympic speed as well btw.

I am always optimistic! I will take a GPS otherwise hall 7 can be hard to find!

Hi Marcel, I have added you to the list.

I have reserved a table for 20 people, you´re number 21 - however I would be suprised if either:

a) At least not one person cancels.
b) The good people at Hard Rock Cafe can´t get us an extra chair

(Concidering unforseen events, such as The Hard Rock Cafe overbooking, loosing my reservation or going out of business for whatever reason)
