  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RU's House... LA

Thanks Frank...

Btw, the fact that movies are made i a-certain location do to any amount or type of economical advantages, doe snot mean that they are actually born there, as most of them still come form DEALS made in "LA"... ;)

Ketch is absolutely right.

You can make a film anywhere. The best distribution deals are forged in LA, through the connections available there. Not the best financing deals - you can find financiers anywhere. DISTRIBUTION is the key, and while it too is increasingly de-centralized, it is the part of filmmaking which is de-centralizing the most slowly. It is cheap nowadays to make a film. It is not at all cheap or easy to bring it to market.

Indeed Distribution is what most fail to give do attention from the very beginning, and LA is one of those places that can make a deal happen in that field better then any other place on the planet.

But my decision has been finally made to let go of the House idea, also do to the fact that what I am looking for is not available a t a reasonable price, and those that do have what I need and want are just out of budget.

Those that are either have not enough rooms, or bathrooms, or the kitchen is too small, or they don't have parking at all, or they have only one small garage, and this last is a determining factor, not just for parking, but because i would have wanted to use the garage for a start up company done the old American way, making use of the garage to bring to life few of my long time coming Cine Products.

So I might just have to look for a nice large Live/Work LOFT or a Warehouse space in the LA area to open a Studios location with an "Open Door" policy for all fellow Reduser... ;)
