I have shooted only 3 or 4 times with my Redone and my regular customers do not see why I should use the RedOne for their film !
Should I throw my customers away :bye2: ? Certainly not ! I have to fit to them and become as agile and quick with the RedOne than with my old VX2000 Sony.
It seems that the Redone does like "big lights", and I get good result with a single 575 HMI. But what could I get under street lights only ? no tripod, nobody to carry the accessories truck and only 3 hours at -3°C ? That is what I wanted to test.
Here are some pictures from the rushes (Redcine JPEG) and from the filming. I use essentially Nikon primes (here 14mm 2,8 - 28 2 Zeiss - 50mm 1,4 - 85mm 1,4)
My workflow is not really steady. Sometime, I use ref quicktime in FCP, sometimes, I use clipfinder and redAlert, sometime I use Crimson and Redcine. Today, it was Crimson and Redcine. I only have 2 awful Dell monitor for grading, so it is a risky grading too.
It is very hard to get a steady picture, and I don't know what to do against the jerks in the picture. (Because of the rolling shutter ??). What do you think about these rushes and how to improve ?
