  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RPPs

Jim shot some pretty incredible stuff in Fiji on the RPP's... here is a frame grab from 4k @ 24p after the sun went down, 100mm RED PRO PRIME.

That's really nice Jim & Jarred.

Can we see something wider though? I'd like to see something real nice off the 25mm outdoors if you have.

Scrolling down fast to the second picture, I got scared. lol :couch:

Good to see some RPP images leak out, would like to see 4k frame grabs though, so that we can actually see how they perform.
I'm mostly used to see superspeeds on my R1, so i'm very curious to see how much additional image detail can be achieved using different lenses.
Did shoot something with Master primes but did not have a chance to get the footage at our studio for better evaluation (it was a rental) ... right now i'm trying to do some stereo photogrammetry vfx work with my R1 so i need as much as detail as possible ... for these kind of projects resolution is never enough ...

After using the RPPs for a while now, I can definitely see how after 18mm, 65mm would be a great lens to get in there. There are several times where 50mm is too wide and 85mm is too close.

I am beyond happy with my RPPs, amazing amazing lenses

agreed on all counts Shawn. the Bokeh is just so gorgeous, edge sharpness is off the charts (literally) and I LOVE, LOVE the tonal qualities.

These lenses are a HOME RUN.

I am just hoping we hear about the 18mm and other Focal Lengths end of month... with EPIC announcement.

This lens set is such a great deal, but it definetly needs an 18mm, I would love to see a wide angle 14mm before filling in the other end, but if you can do it all at once - that would be even better!

it´s a lovely set, waiting to be completed!

Just wrapped a feature film using Red Pro Primes which arrived 6 hours before we rolled the first day of the shoot. The quality is amazing. Special thanks goes to Red Team - Brian and Haley for getting the lenses out just in the nick of time. =)
