  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RPP Update

Cool! Here's to hoping I get them this month. Btw, are pics of the Red case ever going up?

Sorry Shawn my bad.. im way overdue on those, I got sidetracked a bit.. I will try and get those up Monday.

I second the plea to change "MM" to "mm" or to omit it altogether.

I'm in a metric country and all I can tell you is that "MM" is simply wrong.
It stands for "Master Mason", "Maritime Mobile", "Master of Management" etc. but not for millimeter.

Thanks for listening!

I second that:thumbsup: Ever had a conversation with someone who mispronounces even the most common words. That's how those capitals feel to me.

i don't care about "Case" of the MM's.

Because you're brought up with Imperial measurements!

What would you say if "inch" was misspelled "ynch"? That's how we metric people feel when reading "MM"!

i understand. "ynch" would be welsh right? ;)

makes sense, just don't want to delay the shipments further. also seems to me that RED's aesthetic design scheme is all CAPS for most things. might be a consistent design issue for them rather than industry standardization.

Please get these lenses right. Don't release them with an MM when that's completely wrong. Get it right. Anything less is kid stuff worse then mini BNC's and mini XLR's. Don't cater to the fan boys. Attention to detail is what separates professionals from kids.

Don't worry, they'll get it right; they always do 'cause attention to detail is an obsession with these guys:thumbsup:

We are listening.. we don't mean to disrupt the planetary metric powers at be.

If you guys are really passionate about this.. we can change this as a running change as not to cause delay for the people that don't mind or prefer it, so the first 100 sets or so will have the large MM, the little mm's can run into production after that.

Deal?

Great solution. I'm from the camp of not minding the MM

I'm in the same camp...I don't care. I'll gladly move up in line. :-)
