RPP 300mm (M) not in the store

[Jordi Figueras]

Has anyone else noticed this?

Does that mean that RED is not building this lens anymore? It still appears in the Imperial page, but I remember something similar happened to the RED 50-150mm disappearance...

Just wanted to know, cheers!

[Sven Seynaeve]

would like to know as well, hadn't noticed it yesterday

Not sure what you guys are talking about.... It's in the store. Was there yesterday too, as I looked at the lens page.

Nope it's definitely gone. Check again:

Yeah but it is still available in the BT section: http://www.red.com/store/battle-tested

Or direct link here: http://www.red.com/store/battle-tested/product/red-pro-prime-300mm-t29-i-bt

IN STOCK, mind you I bought several lenses from the BT section, all of them arrived literally as new, not a single scratch on them with all original boxing...

[Norbert Niederacher]

Ketch, you are missing the point. Jordi is talking about metric lens. BT Lenses are only imperial...

Seems like the BT stuff will never sell out. Good and Bad...

Ah, got it, these guys are looking at the metric one. D'oh! Yeah, it is out of stock or something, would be my guess. The imperial version is in stock, both new and BT....

[Jordi Figueras]

Anyway, it's strange that it disappears for being out of stock, don't you think? The most obvious thing would be that it appeared as "backordered".

All this just remembers me when the RED 50-150mm disappeared from the store without further notice. First the Metric version was out and some time later the Imperial was also gone without any notice.

Just wanted to know if this is normal and if RED is going to discontinue that lens.

Cheers!
