Im not sure how to describe this but.... my evf is acting up so i think my red lcd and py 17inch Panasonic monitor look perfect but when I look into my evf it looks blown out and not as good? any one have this problem.

its just me?

no one

Martin,

My EVF started to do peculiar things and had to go back to RED. In my case it developed a banded monochrome image with blue an yellow areas. If you think the image has deteriorated then you should contact your rep. at RED and describe the symptoms to them. I believe that their have been a number of people who have had problems with the EVF.

All RED can do is look at it for you and fix it. It is worth doing that if you still have a warranty on it

Exactly the same thing the last couple of days on a shoot. Pretty hard to look at as i think i am overexposing big time. Meters meters meters...they better not lie!

We have had problems with ours as well, It's like the green channel disappears. Whe end up with a posterized RED, BLUE image.
The only way to fix it was to pull the cable out the back of it and put it back in. 15mins later, same again.
Intermittent problem .... the worst for TECH to fix.

We sent it back to red, they couldn't get it to play up to know what to fix. we get it back, same thing happens, time and time again... I wish they just replaced it, or the guts at least. Drives us nuts!
