ronin thumb controller problem

Anyone encountered issues with the ronin thumb controller intermittently connecting? It seems t be connecting and disconnecting every couple of second the lights flashes green / red and when trying to pan or tilt via the thumb controller it will stop start. Just wondered if anyone else had that problem - unfortunately i bought it about a year ago couldn't really get it to play nice then and I've now noticed what the problem is so I can't send it back now. Is there a way to fix it or shall i just bin it?

I would fiddle with the connectors / cables on the receiver and see if that helped.

mine works fine, but those cables are a bit in a sensitive spot.

Hey Mark how's it going I've got a little bit of experience here and just had that happen on a new M
typically you solve this by piping a USB cable into the thumb controller from your mac /pc and re-up the firmware even if it says re-upped do it again then you press the reset button on both the thumb controller and the receiver of the Ronin (with a paper clip) and bang you're good to go
