one bit o' feedback...I tend to hit the space bar for "play" functionality (force of habit...), and this selects the clip that I just clicked on. Double-clicking the click has the same functionality, to select the clip.

Can you de-activate this with the space bar? And make just double-clicking the "select" function? I'm inadvertantly selecting clips that I don't want to select.

I suppose I could change my habits...but I spend a lot of time in FCP, so it's hard to break the space bar-playback connection.

In fact, if the space bar could enable playback instead of selecting, that would save mouse clicks...

yeah the spacebar will change to play, That habit has been engraved in my mind too :)

The case is still open with apple but getting it resolved is not trivial.
There are multiple ways to write quicktime files and they each have different requirements and limitations, not to mention a whole bunch of undocumented solutions that often even the apple guys don't know about (engineers moving on...).

We'd like it fixed also.

Now with 10Gb ethernet solution coming, it is nice to get the AFP issue resolved because the cost of 10Gb AFP based system would be more affordable when Apple include 10Gb with their models.

So how do I change the Debayer settings for the render out?

I have tried changing the viewer Debayer settings and render in out 1/4, 1/2+, and full. All of them result in identical looking files. The image quality appears to be somewhere around 1/4 - 1/2 on each of them.

I even layered them and did a difference mode view in AE to prove to myself I wasn't crazy.

What am I missing?

Pixel aspect ratio control?

Anybody having any success with the 'enable psf' check-box? I'm getting scrambled images when I select it.

I have the problem that I only get a signl out of the HD-SDI ports when i click on the rocket symbol and setting RGB8. After changing to that mode I have to restart Rocketcine and I get only again a picture when clicking on the rocket symbol. After that I have a Signal on HD-SDI which looks the half of a Dual Link Signal and plays, but the PC Monitor PVW on the Desktop dont update.... any hint ??

That will be half a dual link signal. RGB is dual link. Select a YUV option for single link. And it is normal for the desktop not to update while playing out SDI. Currently its an either or.

Nick,

I'm getting the same result.

Nothing has changed with the monitor outputs.
Rainer is referring to 1920x1200@60 working on his monitor now versus what he was trying before (24p) which wasn't working. This is a monitor support issue as many monitor don't support refresh rates that aren't their native resolution of framerate (generally thats 1920x1200@60hz or 1920x1080@60hz these days).

I don't get PSF either. Anyone hear any update on this?

We're looking into it here but we need to know what monitors you're using.
Technically the singal is tested as being to spec on various scopes and HDSDI signal analyzers.

wow, Audio support and lots more features to play with!

THANKS DEANAN, its really coming along nicely!

In light of EPIC news. I think people forget how cool RR and Rocket-X and of course REDCINE-X are!!

KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK. THIS STUFF IS GETTING BETTER EVERY WEEK!
