I'm absolutely stunned and saddened. My signature shows why. The Sopranos forum I started is still running, still gets a trickle of new members every week even 6 years after the show ended. And a great deal of credit for the show's allure owes to Gandolfini's towering performance. One of the greatest characterizations ever put on film for any medium.
 
Very saddened to hear this news. James was way too young. Life is fragile. My thoughts are with his family on this difficult day.

Wonderful talent. Tony Soprano will live through the ages as one of the greatest characters ever realised.

I photographed a feature with James some years ago. On the last night I after we wrapped I saw him get into the SUV with his driver and drive off as I stood on the sidewalk. The car drove around an entire block and came back to where I was standing. James got out and came over and gave me a big bear hug and said goodbye. He was one of a kind.

Way too young to go.....
