  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Rental interest?

Just thought I'd put a quick (and hopefully as honest as possible) poll out there...
Now you have your exciting new gear shookdown, prepped and ready to go, is the buzz translating into real customer numbers taking the plunge yet or is the fear of the unknown (and bleeding edge workflow) holding them back?

I'm sure RED and the rest of us would be keen to hear what those cameras are getting up to?

It's a little of both. I have clients who are very knowledgeable and have already used my camera, and I have clients that I STILL need to walk through the P2 process with! ;)
Cheers,
Harry

Its both for sure. I'm on a low budget indie set right now and the director just said this camera would never fly for a TV show. He said that right after the camera crashed. Redusers must remain dilligent and forthright, spreading the Red truth across the land. There are a lot of misinformed people out there right now and I plan on enlightening every one of them. I see Red Demand exponentially growing over the next months, years..

Why did the camera crash? Does this happen to you often?

Finner, My 363 has crashed only once, its been really solid. We are using an X series camera in the 80s. Out of 50 card changes, the camera has hiccuped about 3 times so far. Tonaci's #102 was rock solid in comparison. I don't know what caused the crash. Sony voodoo?

My camera has only crashed when I attempted to playback on the RED Drives (something I hope gets fixed in Build 15). Otherwise it's been pretty solid.
