  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Released - RedUser iPhone app

Still not available in the Irish store...and when redirected to the US store, I'm told it's not available there either. It used to work on my iPhone about 4 - 5 month ago but not anymore. Looking forward to an updated and working version soon though
 
I don't think Tyler has worked on this in awhile. But I say we set up a little donation pool, that way we can have someone put some time and effort into developing the app (and of course paying for the itunes listing as free apps have to pay to be listed on itunes)
 
I have no clue how apps work, but would a donation pool help to modify this for droid? Or am I the only droid user and will now be shunned for admitting it until I buy an iPhone?

i agree with this. I've also been working on making an app for reduser (it will take a while). It just seems like tyler is a bit busy with other stuff for now.
 
Hey everybody. Yes, it's been a while without a peep from me. Unfortunately, I have not had very much time to work on this lately.

Ultimately, I have decided to rewrite this from the ground up. The new version will have pretty much the same functionality and appearance as the old one (at least to start), but it will have a much better backend.

You can find the code on GitHub: https://github.com/AquaGeek/CodeRED. If you're familiar with iOS development, go ahead and take a look around. The rest of the UI and the networking/parsing code should be up by the end of the week.

If you're not familiar with iOS development, hang tight. Trust me - the rewrite is for the best.

Tyler, I saw the additions that were made, was that you putting the rest of it online?

correct, it was taken down by Tyler (who made the app) because he needed to rebuild it but he also needs time to do so.

I'm currently working on a new app for reduser, i will be posting everything about in a day or so and i will give everyone the opportunity to offer up feature requests and/or say if they think something is useless
 
Good luck on the rebuild, Tyler. I haven't had a chance to try this yet. Looking forward to seeing it on the Canadian iTunes store soon. :)
 
Thanks Tyler for the link, however when I go to iTunes to download it gives me the following error message:
"The item you've requested is not currently available in the US store." Has anyone else had this issue?

Is this still in the store? It still comes up as "not available in US store" for over a year now. Was it officially pulled?
