Instructions?

Instructions?

...ALWAYS READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE DOWNLOADED INSTALLATION FILES BEFORE PROCEEDING...

Thanks, BC

Brent,

When I download the file there is no instructions enclosed with the file. After downloading, it automatically creates the app file, and there is no other file attached. :ack2:

Please advise. Thanks!!!

Thanks....

Without a REDRocket card can anyone get at least 8fps playback in REDCine-X at 1/2 Resolution? How much memory would be ideal for the caching feature to work? Were there any "Video Player - opengl improvements" as stated in the November 30th announcement?

Brent,

The instruction file you mentioned as follows:

"...ALWAYS READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE DOWNLOADED INSTALLATION FILES BEFORE PROCEEDING..."

Did I misinterpret it?

Thanks!

Haha, some of those downloads have a readme and/or user guide in them. Some, the release history in the links above either reiterates that info or is in addition to. So, just read the release history for each download on the support site and any readme files or operations guides in the downloads (where applicable), and you are all set :)

Thanks for the clarification, my friend...!:banghead:

Regards,

I have tried many different settings and resolutions and I keep getting this static line through the middle of my image. I can't figure out how I possibly could be doing this

any ideas?

On my Core2 duo Toshiba laptop I can get about 18fps playback at 1/4 res. On the laptop screen there is no visible difference between this and full res, so no need to go higher.

I'm on a Mac Pro 8 core 2.93GHz with a 30" display. I would love to see a playback rate around the capability of RedCine at 1/2 Res. Reading the November 30th announcements I was hoping the playback rate would be increased to something watchable at 1/2 Res High. Especially when I heard talks of OpenGL/cache improvements. Even if the caching feature worked I would be more happy to use it. At 1/2 Res I'm currently getting a playback rate of less than 1 fps. I know its a beta product but I'm thinking playback should be a basic feature.

It looks like possibly a graphics card problem.
Do you have another machine to try it on?
Does the same thing happen at different resolutions?

Thanks Brent,

I am just curious if Cropping, Audio Syncing and or 2K 2:1 Fit Width has been addressed in the new Rocketcine update?

Cheers,

Can you elaborate with more specifics?
(or email me)

are there plans to enable monitor out, without a red rocket? Not for playback so much as for grading. So even if we couldn't get full speed playback we could at least view on our CC monitor.

Hope its a possibility, maybe it already is and I just dont know...

REDCINE-X win slower

REDCINE-X win slower

Hi RED TEAM,

I have just tried last version of REDCINE-X v0.54. Last version is slower due by the little cache.
version 42 works fine at 1/8 or more at 1/16.
at 1/16 resolution, cache file was faster than the rush to read.
at 1/8 resolution, equal

Now with the last version impossible to read at 24fps.

Sure i have an old PC ;)....P4 3,4 with single sata disk.

Maybe you could give choice for the cache...depends of configuration of each one...

Best regards
Antoine FAVREAU

The cache has never worked for me either... well at least not on any practical level. In the future can we chose how much memory should be used for caching? Currently on a 14 second clip playing back at 1/2 res...the cache will only do about one second of the 14 second clip. When you pause the playback nothing at all is caching.
