  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RELEASED: Beta Build 30 Firmware (v30.4.1)

Just have to say, the ability to create looks in REDCINE-X and transfer to camera is excellent. I just spent a couple hours with a DP creating a bunch of looks that I saved to his SD card. He'll takes these looks from job to job and apply them where appropriate.

only directly after the fact? I did so and just sent Stuart a LOG file, but it was not directly after the fact (some clips, hours and rebooting later). Is it okay like this too?

Build 30.4.1 issues

I too have been having problems with Build 30.4.1. I get the contrasty tungsten images. The magnification function works once, then looks scrambled. Is there an updated build or should I revert back to an earlier version?

That's exactly what I experienced a couple of times and had to to a hard shut down and reboot. I didn't write a log file at the time, because I thought that since the camera was shut down, it wouldn't help. Now I know better. That camera is currently on the other side of the pond, but I'll see if I can't get a log file pulled from it and send it in.
 
I might be having the same contrasty image problem what should I do

I upgraded to build 30 and mounted my 320 Gig drive for formatting. The drive formatted but when i when i tried to record the disk wasnt mounted, and I could not get it to mount again. So I tried the 600 GIG it froze during format so I had to shut off the camera. Tried a CF card and the same thing happened. Thankfully I was able to downgrade.

NOTE: I had done a black shading calibration on Build 30. When I downgraded I got a black screen after the camera booted. After a lot of searching I remembered to do a Black Shading calibration and it failed giving me the message, "black shading failed. Not sure what you should do." I tired again and to my great relief it worked.

I have had problems with drives in the past with the build 21 upgrade so I purchased a new drive cable which has fixed the problem.

After downgrade the 600 gig is acting up, not playing back properly, recording grey frames in the middle of takes.The 600 GB drive has never worked flawlessly.

Suggestions?
 
Very strange! First I had only this magnification freezing, now suddenly I get also this bad look with increased blacks. I didn´t change settings, it came suddenly up after I formatted the drive (like a virus).
Is there any chance to get somewhere build 30.3.1 ?
