Hello all! I am using a Minolta 21mm, and am oddly getting a circular reflection on some of my test footage.

It's definitely the lens because once I jump up to 28mm, the problem disappears. I'm also not experiencing vignetting, just the reflection that is, of course, more prominent when pointed towards a light source (but still subtly there even with indirect sources).

Is this common, and if so, any way to resolve it? I'm using the Weapon MG Dragon at 6K on the STH OLPF.

Yep, it's an artifact with certain, often older wide lenses. I've seen it on a few over the last couple decades. It's contingent on a variety of factors, but mainly due to lens design or lower light/lower contrast scenes.

Well, Minolta is not that old and for sure incorporates multi-coating.

Seems that old lenses is half of the problem. The other is the olpf and the filter stack in front of the sensor which are for some very odd reason uncoated (for visible spectrum), and that realtes to almost any production company like Sony, Nikon, Red etc.

Ah sorry for not seeing this sooner - thank you Phil and Ilya for your insight! I'll live with it and be careful how I shoot then :D
