  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Reduser has become a warzone! And no longer a helpful forum..

... the bigger picture is that it should be easy for people to join that discussion, see the two sides of the discussion, and then perhaps contribute something of their own.

Thanks to contributors like Steve and Terry, they put some balance back into the keel of this tossing ship that is RedUser. It sure is a ride sometimes and I really do get a lot of enjoyment from comments ! + the immense amount of personal experience sharing that goes on here. I do at times feel that I'm wasting my time reading some threads due to the lack of usefulness in the discussion and the pointless direction that some of them lead to. On the otherhand, there is so much interaction that is valuable to the community as a whole that the forum itself just can't be ignored (at least by me anyways). The upcoming growth spurt of this forum is just starting and there will be some changes yes, but with a little bit of mature temperment shown by the majority of posters, this forum will remain the go-to addicting site that it has been in the past. When new contributors start to de-rail theads for needless purposes, it should be everyones duty, not only the Moderators, to help get a quick realignment established. It takes a whole community to raise a child.

As a fairly new person here myself, awaiting delivery of my Scarlet Ti, I really hope that the threads remain useful, productive and enriching to new RedUsers that are coming aboard the forum. I'm sure that there will be a lot of exciting new Scarlet contributors joining over the next while, and I hope that the established culture here gets through to them leaving a respectful, lasting immpression. It really is posts like those from Steve and Terry in this thread that go a long way in making this type of forum culture happen.

Did you even look at page 2?

It sounds like a deliberate way of saying I've been too busy for this bullshit.

same thing in my opinion, "calm down" and "too busy for this bullshit", the fact remains that the unrest belongs to the Scarlet section, and not the EPIC

Have the majority of these problems been emanating from the Scarlet forum? If there is an influx of new people, perhaps they are simply not used to the culture here, which is one of friendship and knowledge sharing, not the usual petty bickering that permeates much of the internet. This is one of the reasons for the real-name policy. Don't say something here you would not say to the person's face.

There is absolutely zero room here for personal attacks, ad hominems, and bickering. If you see it, report it, and the culprits will be bounced. This is a friendly place to talk about cameras, not to squabble.

Nice way of telling us to shut up until we get a camera LOL sorry once again for upsetting ppl..

I am not saying shut up. Just relax. I knew that a lot of turbulence would ensue once the price of the Scarlet became known. It has a lot of people upset, but I knew a thing or two about reality. And money, especially nowadays, gets in the way of wishes and expectations. Lucky for us there are a lot of excellent choices out there to keep us busy until Scarlet.

this has to be moved to off-topic discussion ... nothing personal but I thought I was going to get new info regarding the SCARLET ...

Peace everyone

This thread is like a daytime drama, lol. I'm glad all of this is coming out though, maybe after tonight people will learn to still their fingers, and maybe instead of 12 hours a day on RU, maybe they can spend 1, lol.

This thread doesn't deserve to live...
