  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Reduser cookies??? Not so off topic...

What is going on with the Reduser forum? I have to log EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! The website doesn't recognize me ever... I never had to log in ever in 2 years before...

I haven't complained yet, but it's been like this for over a month!

That is a major pain! Anyone else has this issue?
 
are you referring to getting a security token error, or not staying logged in, Lewis?

I am not having this problem AT ALL.
 
Again, to post this, I hit 'reply" and it takes me to the login page, with password etc... I tick "remember me" as I always do to no avail, and there... Reaaally annoying...

I don't get a security token error, nor any warning or error message, and I stay logged as long as I don't close Safari or the page, it's just that I need to log in every time I visit the forum...

It just doesn't "remember me"...

And I never changed anything in my settings... Anyone?
 
just out of curiosity, do you navigate to the site using www. or not? if you are using www. I would recommend not doing that... clear your cookies and all that stuff out entirely, and then navigating to the site just by typing reduser.net. This is unrelated to the security token issue by the way. just a cookie thing that some people have problems with...

and, just to be sure, you aren't blocking cookies from this site, right?
 
I did that, and no am not using www... When I click on the RSS feed thread link in Mail, it takes me to the thread in //reduser.net... No www...

It's very strange, anytime I close Safari or close the page, I need to re-log in to post...
 
I am also logging in all the time, from different comps...
On most of them cache is cleaned when I close down the browser, so that isn't the issue...
 
I usually access red forums with "www." in front of the URL.

But If I access someonone's links without it I'm logged off...
I'm pretty sure it's the dumb cookie handling though.

I'm on Vista with Chrome.
 
My Macbook Air always remembers.

My iMac never does.

Same OS, all same settings (as far as I know) and same Safari.

Odd behavior. If settings on cookies are different, it's nothing I ever did. iMac is angry or something.
 
I never had this problem til around June. Cleared cookies, and did pretty much everything to no avail. I got a new Mac in early July and have never had the problem since.

My suggestion is get a new mac. :tongue_smilie:
