REDrushes for Avid

New to REDrushes for avid, please help.

I am trying to follow the Avid-based workflow. After I transcode Avid DNxHD QT's and export ALE files and attempt to import them, they are coming up black. Nothing to see. Any ideas? Am I transcodng incorrectly?

Add the files.
Create and select new output folder
Check "No Resolution EXT" and "Avid Compatible Audio"
Make All Wrappers
Transcode to QT wrapped Avid DNx file
Export ALE

Am I missing something?

What version of MC? Correct version of Avid QT codecs?

When I was editing a feature it happen that my clips were black on Redcine. we just touch the color and the clip appeared

i think that the problem when you import your footage to MC
when importing in the import setting you need to check ignore to your alpha channel

The same problems here..but instead of getting black we get "snow" or noise..The clips in redcine appear with no problems perfectly.Tried a couple of outputs, done the same steps as Cara but all the same..Does Gamma and rendering stuff get involved somehow?

What version of the Avid and RED QT codes are you running? Check for earliesst compatible verion and download on the Avid resources tab of www.avid.com/red

Just checked with the editor. All are the latest. Media Composer and codecs.

Make sure alpha is set to none.

Problem solved. A driver was missing. Thanks a lot guys.

I'm having the same problem, but the problem seems to start at RedRushes already, even the QT Wrappers wont show any image.

probably this avid codec bundle was missing ?

if your camera proxies are black then try to install the QT codec of the red support side...
if you are on MAC....
