So here's the question...

How can I batch render in terminal after exporting a batch script from Redrushes, and utilize qmasters shared processing?

Any ideas?

It seems you have to load the Script into Apple Qmaster (app),

First create a new Shell, Then click on Set Enviornment... click on load sh command, find your Script.txt file and click OK

Then Submit to Cluster, I have it Rendering Right now,

However, I prefer Compressor due to the lack of Audio...

Nevermind, I was being silly, I was testing clips that were b-camera and didnt have a Scratch track oops~!

Turns out I was not being Silly,

It seems when you use the script method you lose audio...!!! I just don't think it is saved into the Script when Red Rushes writes the file. Red Rushes needs an update. Or you need to update the script with the right command to include audio.

The script method we are talking about definitely doesn't have audio after about a dozen tests.

Yes directly out of Red Rushes gives you audio, Saving the same script from Red Rushes to use in Qmaster for Network Rendering does not give you audio.

Red Rushes need to have the Audio included in the Scripts you save. All the test Ive done today have not given me audio through QMaster

RR uses RL which has audio support so it could be that your qmaster nodes haven't been updated to 3.50?

I am submitting to only one Machine thats Online in the Cluster, to eliminate variables from this test.

When I remove --noClobber from the end of the shell I get audio again... Yet when I try multiple Shells I lose Audio again.

It's Late I'll try this later, perhaps I messed up the layout of the Batch shell scrip by removing --noClobber, I don't know what commands are exactly doing what...

Noclobber means that it won't overwrite existing renders and adds an S001 to the end of the filename. It shouldn't affect audio any.

So Here is the Script that won't produce audio,

REDline -i /Volumes/TWSIX\-002/DAY_2\-6\-02\-08/A_CAMERA/A016_080602/A016_080602.RDM/A016_C001_080602.RDC/A016_C001_080602_001.R3D --outDir /Users/r3dbix/Desktop -w 11 -R 4 --useMeta --filter 5 --fit 1 --QTcodec 0 --noClobber

So I've implemented your workflow through the qmaster app. Thanks a lot BTW for the help.

And here's my new issue... when I submit the batch to render the batch monitor opens and the job starts. In the info next to the job name batch monitor shows the computer it's sharing, ie one of the computers on the network, and I have confirmed that it is using that computer for processing, but 30 seconds or so later the job finishes successfully, but the finished files don't exist.

The system I'm on is acting as the controller and the other computers are setup either as quickclusters with services or managed inside my cluster. Am I missing some sharing prefs that need to be adjusted for this to work? Any ideas?

BTW, my audio is working as well with some earlier tests.

Thats really strange... I can't figure out why when I add it to the Qmaster I lose audio?

That same script produces Audio as Long as I don't run it through Qmaster.
