same here - I got the general news release email saw the blue ticket and thought I was one!!! doh - still hoping to be :whistling:


Also, correct me if I'm wrong but if you wanted to use the MB on other smaller cameras besides RED, then the 15mm would be a better choice, as you can always use the 15-19 adapter if needed??

Thanks for the questions - AdamL if you look at the pics of the microMatteBox you are pretty much getting the same thing (and a little more stylish if I may be so bold). Just to be clear on the rod support for the swing-away you have your choice of:

1. 15mm/60mm clamp
2. 15mm->19mm via the Red 90mm clamp
3. native 19mm clamp arm (recently added because of the requests we've received)

I think there is some confusion that we *switched* to 19mm. Instead we are *adding* the option

Bassam you'll want to go 15mm/60mm for the smaller format cameras.

Brian, can the user purchase both the 15mm/60mm clamp and the native 19mm clamp and swap them out as desired?

they are arms, and yes, you could do that. But if that's what you want, you may just consider the 15mm arm and a 19mm adapter clamp

Also, for some totally bizarre reason I started writing 90mm - not enough sleep! I meant to say 19mm. Fixed it in the post above

Hehe, I thought the same thing when I got my email at 12:52AM yesterday. I don't know if I'm in the first 50, but I did put in my reservation within the first 48 hours of reservations opening up.

I'm guessing that if I don't receive the email by midnight today, then I'm not in the first 50.

My apologies for the confusion - we are serving two masters here - first we are continuing to provide all reservation holders updates on information (such as the 19mm rod support). Second, we are confirming reservations for the first 50 res holders.

As mentioned, all 50 have been sent emails. Waiting to hear back on all, but most of checked in affirmative.

We are providing regular updates to everyone on status, any feature changes, and shipping timing. We will make the microMB available to the remaining reservation holders prior to it going on general sale, which will be closer to when the microMatteBox is available in quantity. Res holders beyond the first 50 will be taken care of

i did not recieve any mail but i am sure that i reserve mattebox several times
from long time ago every time that redrock team send email updating about
their mattebox long time ago .. and lately i did my reservation but its all about
