  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RedRelay.net

We now have 31 of the 36 public clips up. That's up from the 13 or so we had on Friday.

More footage! Come on!

We are currently reworking our policy. There really is no reason for people who don't have a Red in their possession to have access to upload their files. But I suppose the answer to your question is yes. When we first opened redrelay in October, we allowed anyone to have a login. That was all well and good, but we never had one single person upload their own files so giving people logins and allowing them to upload didn't really do anything for us. Right now we expect to have to do everything ourselves.

The eventual hope is that we can provide daily transfer service for Red productions so if you are in NY and a producer is in LA, then we can provide a host service so that people in LA can access the files without the need for an overnight shipping of a disc or hard drive. That would cost per production and allow x amount of storage space with password protected directories, etc.

Thanks Chris :
what i liked in redrelay is the grouping of Artists you have in there, i am not in LA ,I LIKE the idea of Advertising for every one there..and newer things that you just explain about Hosting . i did not think of it befor ? ?
When i have my Red ready i will contact you trying join you again Good Luck:greedy: :greedy:

I'm lost. Do you like what we are doing or what?

Sorry maybe i could not be clear enough for you ..:usd:
Yes it is amazing job you are donig .. its very good to gather in there i hope my self JOIN YOU ,,BUT UNTIL my red arrive will you accept ?:sarcasm:

Let me know when you get your Red. There is no reason to join RedRelay until then because you can access all the footage from the public site right now. "Joining" is only for people who have footage to upload so they can put their footage online to share.

I LIKE THIS IDEA ..
But is it protected from public ?? as you said

If we have clients from productions, yes, the footage would only be available to the client. Otherwise all footage uploaded is public like right now.

I know we hit a footage lull a while back but this is ridiculous!

Shawn! Where are the beautiful back-yard-screwing-around shots we all know and love?

Evin! ¿Donde esta el cantan los latinos?

OffHollywood! Where are your stunt cars and boxing foreigners?

MacGregor! Grab Evin and make some cool shit we can stare at for hours and wonder about... damnit!

Thanks!! much easier to check redrelay.net instead off scrolling to all those pages everyday to see if there's some new footage.

Would be nice to see if you put the "tribute to redusers" video that Richard put together on the homepage, where MacGregor's footage now plays.:D

Good idea. Done.

iPhone compatible too. At some point I want to make all the videos iphone compatible. One mirror started to do this to newer clips but I'm going to go back and do it to all the old clips.

New clips including sanctioned mirrors for the footage from the RedLab website where DP MacGregor calls home.

I'm currently converting clips to become iPhone compatible. We currently have 19 compatible clips and more are coming all the time.

We can also safely say that we are currently the largest public host for Red footage and stills on the internet. We have 50 clips (45 active) and 5 DPX files (3 active).

L.A.R.T. will greatly add to that collection. I'm not sure how many RED clips L.A.R.T. will present, but I'm sure it will be more than a handful from the words flying around the forums.
