So whats happening with RedRay and HDMI2 and 60fps?

Surely there is some story here? Firmware upgrade? Hardware and firmware?

We havn't seen anything on CES, so my hopes are that we will see something at NAB. If not.... I don't know. I don't want to speak out loud what i think.

I think Red Ray will be scrapped

Why scrapped? Its a very useful box for playback of red sourced material. And I cannot see an alternative out there. The Sony box (version one) was never available outside north america. The forthcoming one will be, but who knows when.

I still want my REDRAY-player for that reason. I want to put all my selfshot material in superior quality on it, and if thats all i can do with it, it would be still fine. I have pre-ordered right at launch, but never got my box. I get why RED has choosen to get the players only to a few selected testers and not to everyone. I'm thankful for that, brave move, probably sacrificing lots of money, all for the customers.

But if REDRAY doesn't get a refresh and gets dropped completely, then i want to have one of those boxes.
