  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

redmotes and side handles, who is still missing theirs?

You know what... I think RED are mad bringing out the DRAGON sensor next year...
Why are think this... is that 99.9% of us are barely scratching the surface of the current information and resolution from the MX chip in the EPIC as it is...
About 2 % of us are actually mastering in 4k.
The EPIC is so far ahead of the competition and the people using the other camera don't even know the real benefits of shooting RAW 4k as it is., they are just happy with HD PRO RES...

So what I'm saying is... Does DRAGON really need to come out this year, since MX is well in enough for all our needs for at least a couple of years yet..

Plus also... we just all got out cameras... and now an upgrade chip is just arrived... do we need it just yet.

I can most certainly wait for it. :))) and I'm hoping it will awesome when it is released.
 
Got Epic-X late October... still waiting on REDmote and DSMC Side Handle that was ordered mid October.

Imho

Dragon won't arrive for normal customers (Epic X customers) before early 2014.
Epic Stage 4 won't start before June 2012.
Stage 3 as of today has not yet started.

The Dragon upgrade will come right in time.

The 5" touchscreen is also backordered. With no touchscreen, redmote, or side handle available, a bunch of us are awaiting what will amount to be a $10K doorstop when we receive our Scarlet bodies. A camera body with nothing but a power/run button still perplexes me....
 
Still waiting for remote and side handle for two of our Epicx stage 2. Been almost 3 months. It certainly does seem that people are getting them out of order....

And I can't believe people are talking about DRAGON when most people don't even have a complete EPIC systems and not to mention that there are still features not enabled on the Epic firmware yet...lol
 
FYI, I received my RedMote today, dec. 12th, my SideHandle something like two weeks ago. I have Epic-X #296, received around mid october.

PS I haven't tested the RedMote yet, our Epic is coming back from from a shoot tomorrow evening.
 
Got my side handle two weeks ago, order placed in sept. No redmote yet, canon mount in the mail. Epic arrived in mid october with LCD. Epic # 269.

I ordered a side handle in August, nothing yet. Epic 607, no remote.
 
Two epic x in in the early 500 number and no redmote yet. (going on 3 months soon) and no Canon mount but we did get an email that side handle is ready to ship.
 
ah!!!!!!!! Maz!!! you got an email about a side handle!!! did you order your side handle with your EPICX package emails/order in October? or did you separately order your side handle via the red.com store before that?

ya... so early 500 EPICX.

I hope the emails/shipments have started again!
 
Epic-X #212 here....received early October.
No: RedMote, no side handle, no Canon Ti mount.....
No emails or notification for any of these items yet..... :-(
 
EPIC X 943, received yesterday
No RedMote
But I have had my Side Handle for months...ordered on the first hour it was on line
