Will REDLINE be included in this update today?

thanks
Colin

When has it not been when we release a REDCINE-X version? (it's included with that) :)

Time to grab a Red Bull. This can't wait till morning... (it's late here) :)

Come on Graeme!

Our customers continue to motivate us to get better. We feel a terrific connection to everyone here. Thanks for that.

I am so proud of my new Scarlet and for being a first-time Red owner. And with this update it feels like I'm getting a new camera again! Brilliant!

Maybe a stupid question, but what happens if we grade in RCX with RG3/RC3 and then import those r3d files into Premier Pro 5.5 before there is Adobe support for RG3/RC3? Would they just import with default (camera original) metadata, or would it cause some sort of gotcha glitch?

Paul: if you save it as an RMD it will come in as REDgamma2 & REDcolor2 until the plugin is updated to add support for the new stuff. This will be true for any application that hasn't updated yet.

if you record an R3D on the camera with RG3 & RC3 it will also come in as RG2 & RC2 in applications that have not updated to the new SDK (version 4.3) yet.

Yep, corrected, thanks

Excited. I have a job that needs to be colored tonight and waiting to take RedColor3 for a test drive via DPX as we wait for the SDK to be updated for Resolve.

:)

We are going to release these tomorrow.

...Shooting RAW (REDCODE RAW in this case) is the way to go. Getting locked down recording an RGB codec is very limiting. RC3 and RG3 is proof.

I love RED. Every time we improve our color science I can go back and look at old files in a new way. Pretty exciting.

Obsolescence obsolete... every which way you look at it.
