  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Not exactly sure... probably afternoon PST.

Jim

Californian monday morning or evening? Just to know if I'll have to stay up to try it with our new Epic-X footage!

Ah! Just made my day - I shot stuff last night that I can try it on! - gets better day after day!
Congrats RED on once again going the extra mile!

I'm really, really looking forward to this. Also to the new improved AF algorithm for the Canon mount. Red just keeps getting better and better!

Jim i do not own a red camera YET... Can I get some .R3D to play with???

(or a epic camera) :biggrinjester:

tic..tac...tic,

Thanks Red, another day biting my fingernails :-).

Will we be able to roll back to 2.0.5 after loading tomorrows update? On the last week of a 2 Cam EPIC feature, but thinking about taking the new firmware out for a spin. Just want the safety of being able to roll back in case for whatever reason someone doesn't like something about it on this show.

Jim if you give it to us early we won't tell :wink5: I pinky promise!!!!!

Thanks Jim.
Will this substitute 2 or just give us more options?
Btw, thanks for what you're doing. It is from the time of Frankie and Boris that I wanted to own such a camera.
And today I do. Just shot yesterday first test footage (mixing childs and testing. Not easy at all) and what a beauty of an image.. Pure pleasure (and, as someone already said, what a gateway drug to Epic..)

New Color aside for a second...

I just want to say man Im happy with my EPIC (s)... For the first time in my whole career (20 years) , I have have a full blown cinema camera capeble of shooting 5000 pixels resolution and speeds of up to 300 fps sitting in a small back pack with 5 lenses and batteries, ready to shoot anything I want...
Reminds me of my early photographic days..

Always I've flown into locations around the world were huge kits are being prepared for me the day before. I'm really excited about the freedom...

I have to thank JIM and RED team for that.

Ok.. Back to REDCOLOR.. sorry.... Was just pondering..

We will release both a camera firmware and a REDCINE-X Pro upgrade.
Any info or details what to expect regarding RED One Mysterium (M, the original one)?
Will there be FW-updates to the One-lineup as well? What about RG3/RC3 Proxy-Support?

Renting out our RED One (M) in 2 days and it would be good to have some facts about what to expect an weather I should upgrade on day one or not... e.g if there's no Proxy-Support from day one and if we have to wait at least a few weeks to get the SDK-support implemented in Cut/Post-Software I'd rather wait a bit...
