Awesome Jim! Thank you :)

I am trying to download but safari cannot find the red.cachefly.net server and in RCXPro it states: "Error reading from app update feed."

All the best,

EDIT: It's now working, thank you :)

Quick question.... Is there any way to convert a 4K R3d file into a 2K (or 1080) R3d file? I've been playing with RedCine X and it looks like I can export using R3D Trim to a 1080 file but when I bring that exported file in, the NLE still see's it as a 4K file. Am I doing something wrong here?
Thanks
Joe

Hi Joe,

Nope there is no way to do this. In fact the output resolution settings should be disabled when you select R3D Trim as a setting. Trim simply lets you shorten the length of the file if you desire.

Having trouble transcoding 2K files to Prores 422(HQ). I can send a log file if you guys are intrested. I get a few black frames and error messages. It finishes the transcode but it includes black frames.

EDIT:
could also be the new red rocket firmware. I am having same issue using RCX build 487.

Please turn on verbose logging and then send a report (save report under help) after recreating it and
email to redcinex at red dot com.

Thanks.

I'm having a strange issue where sometimes I lose all mouse control on Windows Vista 64bit. It seems to happen after I move a slider perhaps "too quickly". Through a combination CTRL+ALT+DEL or Alt+Tab I can regain control. I'm still experimenting, but it does happen.

V8 seems to be working very well so far -it must be getting close to a release build- though I would love to ask to have the ability to set the rotation so as to correct frames that are not level with a given horizon...since we're in 5K and doing the one light passes here and then exporting it would be great do be able to do the resizing here with the full file rather than applying the effect in Avid, which then requires more fiddling to adjust to get the same thing. As it is now, there is Rotation but only for 90 degrees.

And while I'm at it why not add keyframes? Or am I just getting cheeky?
