Update: REDCINE-X PRO VERSION 54.0.51391 Beta 2 is now released.

Windows:
https://www.red.com/download/redcine-x-pro-win-beta

MacOS:
https://www.red.com/download/redcine-x-pro-mac-beta

CHANGES IN THIS BUILD
Added: Support for V-RAPTOR.
Added: The ability to delete Broadcast WAV side car files
Optimized: CUDA and OpenCL GPU utilization
Enhanced: Demosaic
Fixed: Some clips failing to load.
Fixed: Image not updating when some of the controls were changed.
Fixed: White Balance issue

I'll be writing about one of the new features in this build that I've been "teased" about recently. It's an important one and with this Beta being released ideally it will be deployed to the SDK for 3rd party applications relatively soon.

Thanks alot Phil! Looking forward to the Write Up!

I presume you mean the enhanced demosaic? Sharper? Cleaner? Better than it was before? Better... Stonger... Faster? D-d-d-d-d-d-d...

I'd be interested to see/hear some playback comparisons between 53 v 54 (re: Optimized CUDA/OpenCL); as in, is it a substantial difference or like ~2%/not noticeable? I can't migrate to the beta just yet, but if someone does and the boost is noticeable, please chime in!

Enhanced demosaic sounds interesting.
Any word if Apple Metal support is coming to RCX?

Little surprised that things have been a bit silent regarding RCX/Metal despite it's
development in the SDK and plugins.

Metal support has been in the SDK for over a year. SDK release notes.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I meant Metal support in RCX.

Also curious about this. Phil, I know that RED did the work for Metal in the SDK - although I’m pretty sure OpenCL is still being used over Metal in RCX. Jarred mentioned it would be coming soon a long while back, but I’m not sure if RED is waiting for something on Apple’s API front.

Is Redcine-X now optimized for M1 Macs ?

Until we see it in a set of release notes (none of the previous releases were optimized), then we’re still waiting. Doesn’t look like this beta release offers M1 optimization.

Enhanced Demosaic removing the Magenta fringes everywhere. Good. Also though shifting large tonal regions. Good? Bad? Not sure. Would be great if we could choose the debayer version on the fly to compare.

Hi, This is what I'm seeing when I render using GPU.
