  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Fixed: Windows not returning after CMD+H on mac.

Fixed: An EDL Issue.
Added the new EXR compression options to RedLine.
Added singleRocket option to Redline to limit the number of rockets it will use.
Added forceRocket option to Redline to cause Redline to abort instead of switching to software mode if no RedRockets are available.

Having problems with my Mobile Rocket and MacPro...no image but I do get sound...any one else have this issue?
 
Just read at Creative Cow that the Rocket driver is not compatible with Resolve 7.1.1. Can someone validate this information?

Wow!!! Great work. Almost everything on my bug list has been corrected with this release in Win7/64. It's great to be able to toggle the monitor on/off/on without hanging up RedCine-X.



Audio delay is still there when watching on a computer monitor. That's a huge pain when using RC-X on set to confirm footage is safe n' sound.

Is there any explanation of the difference between Quicktime and Quicktime (Exp) export options?

Will embedded audio ever go out on the HDSDI monitor outputs?
 
Here's a seemingly minor bug that is really slowing me down:
In Build 356 I could double-click on a clip in a bin to load it in the viewer, then hit the space key and it would immediately start playing.
In 452 (and I think it was the same in 449) I double-click on a clip in a bin to load it in the viewer, but if I hit space, nothing happens. I have to click on the viewer window, and then I can hit space to start it playing.
My keyboard mapping is and always has been the default. I run my Export:Bin:Browser in a second monitor. Hence, when reviewing and correcting hundreds of shots, moving the mouse over to click on the viewer, play a clip, then move back over to the bin is slowing me down considerably.
 
Redcine X 452 mac32 don't open after restart the computer. (EDIT: once I quit the app, it don't re-open)

I had to download it again and replace it in the Application folder, then it worked again.
A good idea is to copy not to move it from the download folder to the application folder so you can re-copy it to the application folder to solve the problem every time Redcine X 452 don't open, this work at least in my case.
This happened before in a older Redcine X version (can't remember the version but longer ago)

Can you try updating the drivers for your graphics card?

This will be fixed in the next release. I just fixed that issue on Friday. Internally it definitely works as you would expect on Mac, and I'm about to verify it works on Windows as well.

PS. I'm the new guy on the team, so my name doesn't show up as a red team member yet :)

Mac64 - for some reason i cannot enter numbers in the frame fields for setting in and out points in the player. copying and pasting won't work as well.
 
FYI this build has FIXED (for me, on build 449) the issue on a Mac when you hide the app the window that was selected disappears when reopened.

Also In Storm the rocket doesn't work with new driver. I think we have to wait an update of the softwares. I keep using RCX 356 to use the rocket in all programs.

REDCINE X 454 solved the problem.
