  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDCINE-X Build 348...

I get that sometimes. Regarding the timeline, are you sure you aren't putting it in the timeline "bin?"

There are now tabs for TIMELINE and BIN where there used to only be BIN.

Sometimes viable clips won't load in RCX. I've noticed that for a while. I have found that if it doesn't load in one version, it will load in another. Try using an older version, like 326 or even back to 262.

Don't know why this happens but about 1 of 20 clips of mine won't load in various versions.

Suggestion and question...

1. Disable the "Export" button when SDI is displaying OR disable SDI whe the export button is pushed...

2. Is there currently a way NOT to restart RCX if the SDI has been enabled before export?

Cheers!

G

Thanks for your help. Due to time constrains, I am using past RCX version that is working pretty well.

I will explore Gunleik idea, but I need to do it when I do not have anything more in the Batch being rendered.

Thanks again,

Multiple REDline render issue

Multiple REDline render issue

Wanted to let the RED guys know that when we render using the simultaneous redlines option at 6 on our bin, we first get 6 clips rendering, but when those clips finish it only continues to render one clip at a time through the rest of the bin. Thus we have to abort and restart the render over and over as we move down the bin clip list. Any ideas?

Are you sure those renders are finishing? Or are they just hanging at 0%? I just fixed a bug related to this, which will be in the next release. See http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=51231

Tried downloading windows x64 version again today - once more 2 errors on unzipping the file. Anybody else still getting that?

Could be funny, but a deadline can be missed. I am creating SD dailies from the 4K 16 X 9 footage using RedCine-X. After doing many days without a problem (tanks to the AMAZING RedRocket), we are experiencing an issue:

Now, whenever I am creating a new project, and drag the footage from its source to the Bin that automatically places it at the Timeline (dragging to the actual timeline it does nothing), a hugh RED X shows up where the Image is supposed to be seen, with the usual file number. Also, when I place the cursor over any of such files, it says "Failed to Open".

I can open them directly using QT or FC or PP, so they are not corrupted at all. Has someone experience this? This is due tomorrow, which I felt confident since I acquired the Rocket as it has been performing flawlessly.

Thanks,
Try to delete the rmd file.

Will be possible in the next builds to have the option to export a single dpx sequence with different name like clipfinder ( Untitled.000000.dpx, Untitled.000001.dpx, Untitled.000003.dpx etc.)? In this way it's possible to import the sequence into AE. Would be possible the option to render every subclip in rcx timeline as a separate clip (I mean 5 clips in timeline, 5 dpx folders) and rename them sequentially like the old redcine?

A filename constructor is in the works.

can't import an Avid EDL, not in CMX3600 or File16. Timeline, at best displays the first frame for each clip, but not synced with the edited timelines timecode. Other times it just crash Redcine-X

Hi Chris,

What build are you using? Can you please send a verbose log file and your edl to redcinex at red dot com.

David

Where do I find the verbose log? It's this build together with the Red One MX.
I put those red files in Avid using AMA, then output an EDL 3600 and file16 (the red filename safe version) before trying to import those EDL's into Redcine-X B348.

Go to the help menu and choose "Show Log File". Also please make sure "Verbose Logging" is enabled in the General Preferences.

posted a version oif this in the 346 thread but the same is happening in 348...
In 340 when applying a crop I was able to apply an existing saved crop and then adjust the Origin values in the crop section of the Framing controls tab. In 346 and 348, while I can apply the saved crop I can no longer adjust the origin values. This is a bit of an inconvenience as I often want to simply change the x origin when I crop out a 16 x 9 aspect ratio of the 4480 x 1920 frame but keep the 4K resolution.

I have also just tried to save a snapshot using an existing export preset. This also worked fine in 340 but in 348 not only does it save the snapshot to the wrong location it seems to ignore the crop altogether. Any thoughts?
Thanks.

it also seems to be outputting a Tiff file not a jpeg as specified in my export preset
