  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

If you are considering Africa, then I'd suggest a trip to South AFrica, Nigeria and Ghana. Scarlet will be a perfect tool for 'Nollywood' and 'Gollywood'.
 
If you come to Lagos, Nigeria I could help set up the logistics, and I am sure it would be one of the most unique and vibrant places you would visit.

Nollywood is the so called 2nd largest film industry in the world. The Nigerian population is approx 160 million people and growing and the demand for high quality films is also growing. There is a new cinema culture that is emerging in the cities. I see great potential for smaller theaters entering the market and purchasing projectors and a 4K pipeline. It is actually a perfect solution to a Nollywood problem, and the number of red users are here and growing. We would love to help you promote Red as the choice digital cinema capture and distribution for Nollywood.
 
i recommend STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN. Shure I live here but you also get Norway, Finland, Denmark and Estonia in close radius.
I can help you find the best cinema for the presentation since i work at the biggest cinema company here.

+1, Would love to se it in Gothenburg but for everybodys convenience I think Copenhagen would be the best Scandinavian city.
 
You should definitely come to BRAZIL! We will host the Soccer World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games of 2016.

Jakarta has a massive TVC / film business... bigger than Vietnam, italy, Czech, Australia, France, Romania..... food for thought :)

Istanbul.
turkey is getting economicly stronger and stronger.
budgets are growing instead of shrinking like in ths rest of europe.
20 million people and 1300 years of culture is nice too :)
and of course Berlin. With Babelsberg studios here (cloud atlas by the wachowskis is shooting there). hollywood movies are regularly shot here. and of course Prague, which is even better and bigger.

My suggestion would be Switzerland, because we are in the very center of Europe, each of Germany, Italy, France, Austria is near...

and we probably have the highest amount of Red-Owners per People living here :-) Ok, New Zealand is not counting, you have only one Owner with lots of Cams... Just joking :-)

John's already said it but I'm adding another New Zealand vote to the list - it's a brief hop over from Aussie, and bar the production line at RED we must have one of the highest concentration of Epics in one place than almost anywhere else in the world. Plus it's an ever-expanding market, more international productions turning up every day - a great time to get RED in front of producers/DoPs/directors alike (to those of us not on the Hobbit we currently rarely get a chance to work an Epic shoot).
 
The new DREDD is is being shot on Red One.
Denzel Washington was here recently to shoot Safe House.
South African, Cape Town. Maybe visit the Cape Town Film Studios (CTFS).
