@RED Team: Scarlet Release

Seriously? You are quoting the RED team as quoting REDUSER, which isn't even owned or operated by RED??? Sorry, but which one of us is naive?

This was the answer of Dan B. from RED.
I don't care why he quoted REDUSER.

I guess I still have to ask the question, "Which one of us is naive?" Others should know you did send me a PM that you say is from this Dan, but, if it really is from a Dan at RED (and I have never seen a post from him here and, in fact, there is no registered member by that name), I can't help but wondering how well informed Dan is if he has to quote REDuser as his best source.

Sorry - if Dan wants to pop in and comment from his official RED account, it may shed some light. But, again... even if Jim himself got on here and quoted from REDuser as his best source, I'd have a good laugh over it because I think he'd be yanking my chain.

Make no mistake, Jim, himself, has - on this forum - indicated a desire and a hope, you could even say intent, of delivering Scarlet this year. That was before the addition of HDRx™ as a feature. At that point, he indicated an additional modest delay in order to add that feature. By the time you added your post of being "told" that it would be this year, it was no longer a credible prediction, even if it was ever an informed one, given the circumstances you describe.

There are a few folks on this board that know I was very optimistic about a Scarlet Fixed delivery this year. I even have a small "vested interest" (i.e. wager) on it. However, that was not based on anyone being "told" anything by anybody and, once the HDRx™ feature addition was decided upon, I believe that possibility has all but faded to near zero.

(and I have never seen a post from him...

:rolleyes5: OMG

It seems that everything you have never seen before or read is untrue by default. You are such an ignorant person.:furious3:

Again: The mail I received was true and directly from RED. Got it.

And on that note, I think we're done here.

Will say that one thing I've learned about RED team members, particularly the bomb squad reps, etc.., is they are no more up to date on schedules or potential features, release info, etc.. than what is here on the forums. So they often will quote or reference the latest posts from Jim or Jarred or will even just recommend that we should check the forums for the latest info on releases or status.

At the time of this email to Tom, that was what was being said here. That's what everyone at RED knew to be the case.

And to reiterate what Brent has said, emails between RED and their customers, or potential customers, are indeed a private transaction.
