It's a never ending quest to utilize all input/outputs. :001_smile:

I rather enjoyed the Mattebox...

The Duvateen you see is actually a teleprompter. :001_smile:

We were shooting very small children.

So as not to intimidate them, we projected the face of their teacher or their parents in front of the A camera's lens using a Sony EX3.

That's a great idea. How well did it work?

It is a great technique that we employ when we feel the talent will be intimidated by the camera.

However, it will most certainly slow you down ... and it does add another piece of glass into the mix.

Great idea!!!

@ Peter. That is a brilliant idea! Mind if I use it if you haven't already TM-ed it on my next interview project? ;)

Wow, that is a pretty awesome idea... nicely done.

As for the spaghetti, well... I have a folder on my desktop labeled "Things I do not like" which is full of nothing but pictures of spaghetti cameras. Yours made the cut. :)

It was mostly my fault really. (I was running sound on that job). Coils are good.

I really think RED should set some time aside to design one of these in a smaller form:

It could mount right on the side of the camera.

The truth is I have seen plenty of cables hanging from other cameras, the RED One is not unique in this way. Though it is designed in such a way that the cables stay out of the way of the camera operator.

So as long as the spaghetti is strain relieved and not causing a hinderance in your workday....it is perfectly delicious.
