RED Sliding Top Handle or Wooden Camera Leather Handle

In anticipation of getting Scarlet, trying to decide how to accessorize her. I am trying to decide if I should go with RED's Sliding Top Handle + SWAT Plate combo,
or go for Wooden Camera's leather handle, which many people report they like on this forum. Does anyone have experience with either or both? Which is the most pratical/useful?

I'm getting my rig custom built, but I would actually look at the new Cheese Handles from Wooden Camera. Absolutely brilliant idea.

If the leather handle were SWAT mounted it would be perfect. I have the RED for now in hopes Ryan at Wooden Camera will make a rail mounted leather handle at some point.

Yeah I know, but that makes the handle too tall and expensive. I prefer the all in one solution...

Me too. That's why I like RED's combo, looks pretty slick and low profile.

We have been designing Cheese Style handles for our DSLR cages for some time. I would imagine I could work up some designs to work with Epic / Scarlet. I'll post some prototypes and samples soon.

I just went with Swat 100mm plate and Sliding Top handle. I don't like the leather idea, but that doesn't mean I have anything against the Wooden Camera stuff..

Look for locking bicycle handlebar grips.thats what wooden camera use and you can probably find something to your liking.

You are right. the brown just isn't going to jive with a GREY Scarlet-X and black accessories haha

I hope they're higher quality (by a factor of a billion) than the ones Redrock Micro uses.

Is that what Red's is too? Guess I'm gonna have to buy an Ogrip...
