Additionally to the 2 options you talk about in your article, there is also the battery plate from Cinema Oxide, that both covers all connectors and holds a V-lock battery. Good, compact solution if you have no needs for other modules and don't need the REDmote, or don't need/want it on the back.

But this 20 dollar cover is a no-brainer, I'll get one for sure.

When I fly without the Wooden Camera Quickback/V-mount and just using Redvolts in the DSMC Side Handle I pop on the Atomic 13 End Cap real quick. I picked it up back in December though. At $20 I'll likely pick up the Red cap too.
