Trying to find an answer for Red Scarlet FPS Ramp. If I'm shooting in 4K HD at 24fps. Is my max ramp speed 30fps (4K HD). Or can it Ramp to 100fps? Also knowing that its only for 2 seconds, does it go back to recording 24fps or does it stop?

Currently I just bought a Used Red Scarlet (Firmware 3.3) and I'm waiting for the transfer of ownership to go through. Would anyone be willing to share 4.018 firmware? I have a shoot later in the week and would like to test the Ramp function.

Thanks!

At 4K the maximum frame-rate on Scarlet is 30fps.

There is no ramping to 100fps that I know of...and if there was, it would be at 1k, which is quite cropped on the lens.

Thanks, that what I figured but was hoping for more frames at 4K. I'll have to bring it down to 3K to get some slo-mo at 48fps.
You can go up to 36fps/4kWS on beta-firmwares.
If you use the ramp feature it will go up to the target framerate and stay there until you stop recording. There is currently no "ramp down".

The beta firmware has 4 ramp points and a return to starting framerate. Each settings has its own timing setup and dedicated key action.

Now that you've said it, i remember reading about those changes, but never found the time to actually test it out...Ooops. :) Thanks for the correction.

This is excellent news. Sounds like I'll get the beta firmware update once my transfer of ownership is complete. 4K WS is excellent to hear as well. More and more I've been looking to do widescreen.

Thanks!
