2 Questions:

Is a Mac Pro with Nehalem processors reccomended (or are older 8 Core Mac Pros fine)?

When can we order from the Red Store?

Thanks,

Realtime...yes!

Realtime...yes!

Where do I sign?

Jim, any chance we could get info on minimum system requirements for those of us who having been waiting to upgrade. I'm concerned that the previous generation 2.8ghz Mac Pro won't handle this. I hope I'm wrong!

AWESOME!!!

Looking forward to hearing ordering information.

Once we've get through testing multiple platforms we'll have some recommendations on the performance differences.

Where you'll see the differences are with transcoding and moving images through apps and out the graphics card.

Does it work directly with Final Cut Pro?

The Quicktime component for R3Ds will support RED Rocket also. Any app that uses the REDcode QTs will also get accelerated (including FCP).

Please excuse my ignorance, but from what I understand, FCP currently does not support 4K files. If I am wrong, please excuse me. If I am not, then how does it interface with FCP?

Thanks,

Nick.
