RED Roadmap...

Be it Scarlet with a super 35 sensor or Epic-S doesn't make much difference to me.. As long I can fix a canon or nikon mount.. Of course I'd prefer 4k to 3k but heck - I'd still upgrade to a camera with three times the resolution I have now. Unlike for example "upgrading" to say an F3. And I'm sure Scarlet ( 3k) can pull off even a digital to film transfer nicely if you really need that.

So don't worry guys - Something will come out.. And I'm sure it will be great..
Save your coin - So you can make that killer order once it's online :)

Jim, what about Full Frame 35mm 6K+ with 3:2 aspect ratio sensor? I don't see FF 35 on the list?

Pretty much my question too. I have two RED One I want to trade in for Epic FF35 in the future. I hope RED have not skipped that "promised" path.
(I know: Everything can change :-)

Jim's list (Scarlet and absence of Epic S) + him saying:

"We know what everybody wants. Trust us."

...makes this the thread of the decade. And November 3rd seem a million days out.

It's unbelievably cool that RED is actually building it. Only question now is what they are charging for it.

Doesn't matter if you're a pro, but will it be within reach for a semi-obsessed hobbyist?

Exciting times and a rush regardless!!

Question is what might they be building beyond the 2/3" 3k format Scarlet? I'm all in for 3k, but it will be interesting to see what else they might have in the works.

Came across an quote from Jim in a Wired magazine article written when he still owned Oakley, but I think is still appropriate for this post.

"We isolate ourselves to stay away from ordinary thought," says Oakley's founder. "If you can understand that, then you could like us."

And from his Oakley President at the time:

"Focus groups only produce what people expect," says Baden with a shrug. "We like to deliver the unexpected."

what is Dragon all about..?

Its a Biopic about Bruce Lee. Really it is.

Oh wait... Oh... NM. I don't know. LOL!

I think its a sensor that they stopped talking about, due to unimaginative competitors desperately searching for what to do next.

Nothing I said...
