Is there a way to import Red Raw files in to photoshopas and deal with it as a raw file?

I know this doesn't help but r3ds are supported in the new version of Lightroom. I suspect that they might get support in a new version of Photoshop.....

Yeah, I been meaning to pick up LR4 to play with that RAW functionality outside of RC-X. I wonder if that would work well for making contact sheets of clips (which would be really helpful)?

that would be so cool! ;)

Whoa, how did I miss that about R3D support in lightroom? learn something new every day.

+1 on R3D Photoshop support. Also, I've found less of a color shift when I export DPXs than TIFFs out of RCX. Posted a couple of times about it in my Kong thread (sig) but either nobody wants to step up to the plate or can explain why it happens.

If this is on the Mac then this is likely happening because of the embedded monitor profile in the TIFF files. Set up Photoshop to ask you what to do with embedded color profiles when opening files. When it asks you, select ignore embedded profile and it should match to the DPX closely if not fully (depending on settings).

Christmas comes early for Doug this year- Thanks Santa!

Unless I'm missing something, RED EPIC stills are seen as video in Lightroom 4. You don't have access to raw controls or the full Develop module. There are some Quick Develop functions and trimming, but no camera raw adjustments.

This software makes a catalog of all the files in an R3D folder similar to a contact sheet. I find it super useful: http://foolcolor.net/foolcat
