  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red Raid availability

whoooooooh. That is the sound of me taking a breath after holding my breath like I told everyone else not to do. don't have a tracking number, but I did get an email that makes me think I will see one soon. maybe tomorrow. but at least I am breathing now. Oxygen making me lightheaded.
 
looks like I will have drives in hand Tuesday. So Jarred wasn't lying. I didn't get them this week. But happy as a clam to be finally getting them very (very) soon!

There are now about 50 drives going out every three days ( they go through a pretty extensive QA session) .. and after the last couple days the backorder situation is down to only a few hundred, so assuming everything goes well the entire backlog should be done soon. Can't tell you when exactly, but soon. Just normal manufacturing process.. but the guys are working overtime.

When the demand already is greater than the supply, and there is a small hiccup/change in the manufacturing process, we have the option to either cut corners (i.e. shorten QA or bring in less qualified Techs to do the QA ) or just stick with it and battle through and hope the customer will appreciate our diligence.

To us, cutting corners on things like Storage media is just not a good idea...

and your 100% correct. Don't cut recording media corners, ever :)
 
Got our RED-Drive RAID today for Camera Body 1888 delivered in early June. So happy that we can finally test out REDCODE 36 and do some long form recording.
 
got my drives red 1754 shipped 12th june. :biggrin:
 
the death star is now complete. some small moon of Yavin is toast! Bwahahahah!
Er. Drives arrived today #1903. Camera shipped somewhere around june 12th.
 
cool. drive for #2072 on is on fedex truck.

now the only missing order is the 50-150mm lense and we are complete completed. :biggrin:
