  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED PRO Mattebox

what?!?! that first picture jarred posted looked like they had an gazillion of them. False advertising! (jk) :D

whoever gets it in first thought totally needs to post up a thousand sanjin size pics, and start field testing it like crazy...

Hope it's not a camera number line-up! I'm Red 3140, imagine if only 1 out of 3 owner order it, that's over a thousand before I get mine...

:ack2:

My bomb squad guy is telling me it could be a while... I'm guessing the first batch sold out within 30 seconds of it getting listed in the store.

Clearly, they're priced too low ;)

does this mean that should someone google my name, they will potentially return info from the forum? don't mean to thread-jack, but doesn't that present a potential privacy issue?

That's kind of the point. If you wouldn't say it in person, don't say it in the forums!
Kind of keeps people civilized - a bit.

I just ordered today. Will I be waiting years?

Jarred, can we expect a swing away option and different sizes of clamp for it in the future (along with the rotating stages you mention)? I assume the box and filter stages detach from the clamp assembly, given the talk of modularity. What about mattes, are there mattes coming also?

Sorry if any of this has already been covered as I may have missed something in the 32 page length of this thread.

Cheers,

Daniel

Ha, NOT enough to go around....

Will have one of these...

(Geek Alert Start) If you scroll up an down quickly over the picture, because of the symmetry, it looks like a camera travelling over the matteboxes. (Geek Alert End) Wow, I spend too much time on Reduser...

THANK YOU so much for that information. How would I have lived without it? :) Also Geek and Nerd are two distinct words with two distinct meanings.

Nerd: Dungeons and Dragons/ "if you scroll up an down quickly over the picture, because of the symmetry, it looks like a camera travelling over the matteboxes."

Geeks: Well they get crap done, editors, camera enthusiasts, programmers etc.

Though I am probably no better for posting this completely useless message (and probably would have posted something very similar if I noticed that first) . :)
