  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red One shell casing modular upgrade???

Will the R1's shell/case be upgraded to a modular design at any point?? To match the other brains???
 
Nope. There's no reason to. The upgrade path from current R1 owners to new modular brains is their answer to that question.
 
There are actually some advantages to an all-in-one unit like the Red One and so I imagine it will have a longer useful life than people think. The beauty of the new modular approach is in the ability to upgrade, swap out components and etc. but that comes at the price of additional maintenance issues, failure points (at connections) and etc. For people that don't plan to swap out the components, the sensor upgrade to the RED One may actually be the best bet simply because of the functionality and advantages of a single-core body.
