RED One MX red square issue

I was on a shoot yesterday shooting with the RED One MX and there was a red square in the middle of the frame on the RED LCD all day. It disappeared when I went into any of the menus but came back when you were back in the main shooting screen. It's been so long since I last shot with a RED One that I couldn't remember where in the menus it could be.

Anyone know what this was?

It sounds like you had the spot meter activated.
If you go into the METERS menu >ANALYSIS meter > you can toggle between
the different analysis scopes. See if it was set to SPOT METER.

Yes probably the spotmeter... Had this "issue" yesterday. Had to reset everything to find out.

Ahh that sounds like it. I was fiddling with the meters before the shoot.
