  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED ONE build 32

thanks very very much fellas, i have two recently purchased red mx's ..as i took a leap of faith , and bought two, as people were getting rid of them .
i felt i could trust in your "obsolescence obsolete" , as you guys seem to deliver what you promise.
s
i worked for many producers in this business, and have seen many digital efx and camera rental places come and go ..
but i really feel good about putting my faith in you guys.

you came at a time when you were needed , with a product that "cut the legs off " of any real reason why a little guy could not visually tell a story . in a professional manner.

I had to retire from iatse due to injury , and i since moved from los angeles , to coachella california . where i built a small , but yet fully workable stage , with everything needed to do indie features.

thing are quiet here. and although being in a state ,that can't compete with the rest of the states tax rebates... we actually are keeping busy enough to squeak by

and get our bills paid .

we are in a state enterprise zone, which luckily boasts a $25,000 per employee tax credit . and are doing our best to train locals and youngsters in the fine art of "hurry up and wait ".

at any rate , I'm telling you this, so that the " little train that could " inside of you guys know .. that you are helping dreams come true. and although , i'm not making what i used to, working for the biggies in los angeles ... i am very happy and feel fulfilled ... and you guys and your amazing storytelling machines , are very much integral to my mild but rewarding success .

i guess this was the longest possible way to say thanks for the firmware update. you have a customer thats here to stay .

Great news Jarred! Very much appreciated. Not bad for a 5 year old camera. Still getting improvements.

We went stage 3, but just knowing that you still care makes me feel in good hands with our 2 Scarlets and one Epic!

After a very successful still's career mainly shooting automotive in the land down under and overseas ,I decided to take some time out sailing etc,< 10 years goes quick>.Well I decided to come and play again, this time with a moving camera. It wasn't a hard decision to go Red, there's more than a little positive history associated with this camera. So let's get this show on the road with build 32,and see if the eye is still there:yikes:

For all those naysayers that said my R1 was dead..."boom bitches!" :)

Thanks Red...I always knew you still loved your firstborn....

beyond cool....

Thank you

This great, now when shooting with the Red MX and Epics on the same set imagers will be a much better match

Great news and just in time!

Although owning an EPIC-X, this weekend I'll be shooting a project with the RED ONE (the original sensor, haven't had the time/money to do the M-X upgrade...) so I'll try the new firmware!

Thanks a lot, RED TEAM! There are a lot of us out there that still love to shoot with our ONE!

Cheers!

Woohoo! Thanks Red team. Been shooting some multicam with R1 MXs and Epics. This will make a huge difference!!!

Nice to see the old girl getting updates to maintain RedColor parity with Epic and Scarlet :) Will make mixed camera on set monitoring so much easier.

Cheers!

Paul :)

quick question guys, I'm assuming this doesn't change the fact that redcolor/gamma3 still can't be selected in adobe premier right? so if you shot on redcolor3 / redgamma3 and directly import your footage into Premier it will just import it as RC2/RG2?? that's a bummmer even though I don't think this has anything to do with Red but is Adobe's side of things
