Very happy for my PC friends but... Please some love for us on Mac! Jarred, you guys seemed to be working closely with the FCPX team and Apple... Please make them see the light!

Hey! Are you guys thinking the 1080 Ti will be able to do 1/2 playback in resolve via a eGPU? just wondering if I will need to sell that and buy a new card. thanks!
Just for you.... I put an older 1080ti in and ran the new code... realtime 24fps in 1/2res looks pretty doable, although a caveat the 1/2 resolution work in the code has not even really begun.
This is on a pretty pedestrian low cost tower with a single core i9 processor and only 32GB ram and of course no rocket card.

What is a single core i9 or is that a "typo" and should it be something like single socket i9 (i9's are always single sockets to my knowledge).
.
Intel calls their CPUs " Core i9, Core i7, Core i5, " etc etc so a "single core i9 " is jut one " core i9 " processor.
Single cpu I called out specifically because you could get realtime 8k before with dual maxed out Xeon cpus with a ton of memory.

How did you do this?? Does this mean RED is allowing GPU-based wavelet decode?
Yes, we have enabled the option to move entropy and wavelet decode to the GPU as well as debayer
A few feature requests:
1) We often skim videos in Redcine X, but it is generally quite frustrating. If this could be faster somehow it would make it much more usable to view footage. One solution would be to reduce debayer quality when skimming. Another could be creating low proxy version that is used when skimming and keeping them in memory or on disk.

Misha what CPU and GPU do you use and how much do they cost?
You must be mixing things up I guess, to my knowledge the smallest i9 is a laptop CPU that has 6 cores/12 threads. Since you have it in a low cost tower the lowest spec would be the i9-7900x which has 10 cores/12 threads.
