  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED + NAB party April 7th @ 8pm

I'll hit some cheap 30$ hotel I suppose... the money I save will be spent 1:1 into gear so I don't mind a little less comfty place for just a few nights (hey, I'm used to 11-13 sqaure meter business-hotels in tokyo on my regular holidays :P)...

...so I suppose for detailled info to the meeting I'll just hit the booth and ask some staff-person directly? :)
 
Won’t argue with you that last years SuperMeet was "meh" In fact I’d say it was MORE than “meh.”

Which is why we bid a VERY fond fairwell to the Tropicana and its A/V crew of potted plants and return once again to the Rio. This time with a crew who knows what they are doing. Hope you give us another chance Andrew. Especially this year. Check out the agenda. http://supermeet.com
 
I'll be there from the 7th-10th. Might stay a day longer if things get out of hand :)

Looking forward to seeing a good chunk of you folks again and meeting some for the first time. I think I'm even more excited about this NAB than last year's.

Gotta be at Coachella on the 12th and start shooting. Which is a marathon in the desert and mostly on the shoulder. Shot it a couple times before. First time on Red. Can't wait.

Jay Z, a sea of about 80,000, and one well placed inflatable shark. Shot with all access on top of a water tower. Best seat in the house :)

Thats a fine seat. I was center stage...about 20" from the stage. Wait...I think I see myself. ;-)

I'll be there. Having a job in Austin fly me in Saturday morning and ill be helping my paralinx boys setup then help em get rolling monday then fly back in Tuesday to Los Angeles. I'd love to meet some of you guys and gals.

Nice! I'll be at NAB this year and should be flying down to shoot at Cochella too! maybe we will cross paths at one of the events!
 
Ok so as mentioned before my partner Andrea and I we'll be going to the Red party with that baby:

And we'll be handing the 3D footage of the party to RED so that they can edit a little piece for people who couldn't attend and share it in 3D ;)

But none of our 3D assistant were available to go with us this year (there is a lot of 3D filming going on all around the world right now!). So if you'll be going to the Red NAB party and you'd be interested in giving us a hand operating the rig let me know. It's a lightweight configuration and it seats nicely balanced on the shoulder. But it's still a good 40lbs so you need to be comfortable with this kind of weight on your shoulder (similar to a fully loaded film camera with all accessories).

If several people are interested we can surely take turns. Which would actually make sense cause usually our operators are able to go for 15-20mn on the shoulder and then need a 5mn break.

I'll be stereographing next to the rig (it's fully remote controlled) and if we can have some help for the focus pulling that'd be nice as well.

We'll be arriving in Vegas a few hours before the party, so best way to get a hold of me is to text me to that number: 1.323.404.7855

I got lucky with Hotwire, $51 for Treasure Island. Got my confirmation for the party, all set to go.

Yeah, I also got a killer deal at TI, just a few days ago with Name Your Own Price...

Arnaud, that looks like a sweet rig to operate... I could help for a bit.

Also I was wondering if anybody would be driving back to LA on Monday evening and would be interested in car pooling, sharing gas expenses and all. The rig would be part of the ride obviously.
