Hey guys, this is very interesting, any word on Komodo implementation? Thanks!

To include gyro data on the Raptor, but not on the Komodo, that was designed to be essentially a cinema quality GoPro, would appear to be a massive oversight.I could be wrong but I think this applied to the V-Raptor/XL but not Komodo. You can get the gyro data (if you have the tools to make use of it) from Raptor R3Ds today using REDLine --useMeta --printMeta 7 --i <filename> but with Komodo footage it just tells you that it has no such data: "Clip does not have async IMU data".
FYI: Jarred Land CEO of Red stated… not “implied”… not “alluded”… not “hinted” in the above that YES, there are definitely, unequivocally Gyro sensors in Red Komodo 6K. They need a reason to enable them in firmware… that reason is third party support… ie: DaVinci Resolve, Adobe, FCP… etc…
Red Komodo 6K Gyro sensor: CONFIRMED
Take it easy, we're saying the same. "Imply" simply means that something follows as a logical consequence from what is said. While he doesn't literally say "Komodo hardware features an IMU," he "implies" it does exist, because, as you conclude, it can't be enabled with a firmware update if the hardware doesn't exist.
Timestamp? So finally official word from Red on this front. Directly from Jarred Land. In the recent live stream event the CEO of Red spoke directly about gyro data… ”We have those (gyro sensors) and have been slowly working with companies that do that… “
